Why I Volunteer?

Volunesia, which means that moment when you forget you're volunteering to help change lives, because it is changing yours. Yes, that is exactly what my experience has been volunteering for Pinwheel Place. Deep inside I always knew I wanted to make a difference. When I read through the whole purpose of Pinwheel Place, it was very inspiring and I wanted to be associated with their mission in my own small way. With my desire and passion for writing, I took up blogging assignments to raise awareness of their philosophy. Every assignment has been a learning experience. Little did I know, that as I got myself more involved, I was not only touched by the harsh realities of abused children but I was coming to value and appreciate my life even more, I feel grateful for all that I am blessed with. I look forward to contributing and being the voice to support making a difference in the lives of the innocent victims. Lynn gives me the opportunity to explore and write on something new, and I challenge myself to keep writing better. I do hope my words connect hearts to take that step to make our world a better and safer place for every child.
